14k Lavender Jade and Pearl Pendant

Affectionately known as the “Tiffany’s of the Pacific”, Ming’s Honolulu open their doors in 1941 as a Chinese Antique store.  Their business model changed over the years and they became well known for their iconic jewelry.  Representing Hawaiian motifs, they used high quality materials such as ivory, which was carved and painted  into beautiful Hawaiian flowers.
Ming’s Honolulu jewelry is highly sought after by knowledgeable collectors. It is only available in the Antique, Collectible and Estate Jewelry venues since Ming’s closed their doors in 1999. This jewelry continues to increase in desirability as people discover the high quality and beautiful designs that were a hallmark of Ming’s Honolulu.
Please be aware that the “H.K.” stamp by itself is not an indication that it is a Ming’s Honolulu piece. It merely means that the piece was manufactured in Hong Kong. Ming’s Honolulu jewelry will normally have the impressed or etched MING’S hallmark signature on their pieces. Some items, especially the earlier designs, were not signed but have the distinctive detail designs that identify it as a Ming’s Honolulu piece.
Note that these are estate items and as such you may expect them to be in “Vintage” condition. Almost Antiques Hawaii is careful to examine each piece to ensure that they are in excellent condition before offering them for sale. We will advise if there is excessive wear or damage to a piece in our auction description. Keep in mind however, that we are human and sometimes, on rare occasions, things get past us.
