Vintage 1954 Ideal 13.5” Betsy Wetsy w/Caracul Wig Hard Plastic Head Vinyl Body.
Betsy is in very nice condition. Hard plastic head, rosy color cheeks with no rubs. Blue sleep eyes with all their lashes. Her lips have faded paint as well as a nose rub. Also a tiny spot on forehead (see photos).
Doll was made by Ideal in 1954 advertised as a drinking, wets, cries , and nose runs doll.
PLEASE NOTE: This doll has not been tested to see if she still does all those things but the holes are present in her hard plastic head.
So hard to find the caracul (lambs wool) wig in factory set condition. This is a wig cap and it has not been washed. It does have some fading in the coloring of the curls but that actually makes it look more natural. There may be some thin areas but not too much. If you need more photos, let me know.
Clean condition, all jointed vinyl body which still squeaks. One factory divot on left hand palm (see closeup photo). Sweet Vintage dress, one-piece and bonnet with socks and vinyl shoes. Back of neck is marked “Ideal Doll Made in U.S.A.”.
